The Latch Lock™ is a no-drill locking device that quickly and securely locks your metal ammo cans preventing them from being opened. Designed to fit modern/post-WW2 US Military “surplus” .50 Cal (M2A1 and M2A2), Fat .50 Cal (S.A.W. PA-108) and other metal ammunition cans.

While there are other ammo can locking hardware solutions on the market, they all require drilling a hole through the side of your ammo can. This takes time, tools and ultimately compromises the weather tight seal that surplus metal ammo cans are known for. The patent pending Latch Lock easily installs on the outside of your ammo can in seconds and is the only no-drill locking device sold today!

Latch Locks are made from strong and ultra-durable carbon steel and powder coated satin black to resist rust and corrosion. Constructed from a single piece of metal with no small parts, nuts, bolts or pins to lose. Built to last a lifetime no matter the elements!

Does the job

Does the job, but seems kinda pricy. There are very few items on the market that will do what this does without requiring modification to the ammo can. This you can put on any milspec .50 can in a moment.

I needed a good safe for my soft top Jeep

I needed a good safe for my soft top Jeep. Especially while camping and being away from my site while exploring. The 50 cal can is the perfect size for my valuables while on the road.
I own a large group of ammo cans that I store all my different ammo in. Many are American GI cans and I also have a few from Academy that are made in China that the Latch Lock won’t work with and for the latch lock I actually bought a new “Fortress” can for the safe and it did not work either. The Fortress is made in Indonesia. I just swapped one of my GI cans that is the perfect fit.
I recommend mentioning this in your advertising for the latch lock. The foreign cans are solid and look the same, however, the latch hole is not properly placed or exact size for the fit. I also purchased your recommended Master Lock and a cable lock to attach my safe to my jeep.
The latch lock is great when matched with a US GI can.

Worth the Wait

I purchased 3 of the latch locks beginning of August and they finally arrived today in September to Down Under Western Australia and I’ve got to say they are well made and presented. Better still they worked as stated on all my ammo cans that were purchased in Australia. I would totally recommend them to all my mates here in Australia. Well done Latch Lock USA.
