How to Install Latch Lock

Learn how to lock ammo cans and properly install a Latch Lock ammo can security device on US Military surplus metal ammo cans and boxes.

The Latch Lock precisely fits between an ammo can lid latch and the ammo can body. Once in place behind the ammo can lid latch, a tab protrudes through the existing hole in the latch where a compatible keyed padlock or combination lock is installed. This creates a binding action that prevents the lid latch from operating normally. 

Since the latch can not swing up and open, the Latch Lock and compatible lock (required and sold separately) prevents the ammo can from being opened when properly installed.
